🏫 Our School Curriculum: In Alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020)

The NEP 2020 envisions a complete transformation of the Indian education system by focusing on foundational literacy and numeracy, conceptual understanding, experiential learning, flexibility in subject choice, and holistic student development.

🎓 Curricular Structure Based on the 5+3+3+4 Model

The NEP 2020 introduces a new pedagogical structure that replaces the traditional 10+2 system. At H R PUBLIC SCHOOL, we have adopted the 5+3+3+4 design to align learning with the developmental needs of students at every stage:

🔶 Foundational Stage (5 Years): Ages 3–8 | Grades Pre-Nursery to Grade 2

Approach: Play-based, activity-oriented, and child-centric learning

A warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Emphasis on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) through stories, games, rhymes, and puzzles
Multisensory learning to develop motor skills, early numeracy, and language comprehension
Use of mother tongue or home language as the medium of instruction wherever possible
Social-emotional development through storytelling, group play, and nature exploration

🔶 Preparatory Stage (3 Years): Ages 8–11 | Grades 3 to 5

Approach: Experiential and interactive learning to transition to more formal education

Strengthening foundational concepts in literacy and numeracy
Introduction to Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Languages
Emphasis on reading with comprehension and numerical fluency
Use of storytelling, real-life examples, and local context to build understanding
Hands-on projects, field visits, and group work introduced

🔶 Middle Stage (3 Years): Ages 11–14 | Grades 6 to 8

Introduction to interdisciplinary projects, labs, and experimentation
Basic coding, computer literacy, and vocational education introduced
Development of critical thinking and inquiry-based learning

🔶 Secondary Stage (4 Years): Ages 14–18 | Grades 9 to 12

Approach: Flexible and multidisciplinary, focused on career readiness, critical thinking, and personal growth

Students choose from diverse subject combinations (no rigid separation between arts, science, and commerce)
Encouragement of research, internships, and real-world projects
Preparation for higher education, entrepreneurship, and life
Board exams will focus more on application, analysis, and understanding, not rote memorization
