Happy Guru Nanak Jayanti???? On this day, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru of the Sikh sect, was born. Guru Nanak Jayanti gives us the message of equality, love, brotherhood, and selfless service. It teaches us that we should put humanity first by eradicating casteism, high-low and discrimination. According to a belief, even the gods themselves come to earth on this day and take a bath in the holy rivers. This is why on Kartik Purnima, people go to take a bath in the Ganges or other holy rivers and by doing so, they attain salvation. The sins of many births are destroyed. On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the students of H.R. Public School presented Shabad, couplets, poems and the biography of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at the prayer place.
